I trust all is going well!
May the mighty, strong, everlasting arms of God hold you close during this time. The only way we can truly stand up tall is to lean on His everlasting arms!
Let this scripture come to LIFE in your spirit:
“There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides across the heavens to help you and on the clouds in his majesty. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemies before you, saying, ‘Destroy them!’So Israel will live in safety; Jacob will dwell secure in a land of grain and new wine, where the heavens drop dew.Blessed are you, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord?He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword. Your enemies will cower before you, and you will tread on their heights.” – (Deuteronomy 33:26-29 NIV)
At the end of this post, I have more to say and speak over you regarding this passage.
In the meantime, I’d like to give you my second video update as we slowly reopen the City Life Building for services.
This video will help you understand what’s happening with Children’s Ministry, our strategy and goals for this month, and our cleaning and disinfecting activities.
Take a look at this VERY important update:
So, we are CLEANING HOUSE at City Life! The BEST WAY you can volunteer at this time will be to serve as part of our “Prep Team”. THE NEED IS URGENT because I’d like to see about 20 people on this team headed by Jessi Hart.
Various members of the Prep Team meet to clean and disinfect our building twice a week, according to whoever is available at the time. If we have 20 or more volunteers, the load can be distributed well, and each person will be able to serve 2-4 times per month, according to your availability.
Complete this Prep Team Interest Form ASAP, and either Nicole or Jessi will be in touch with you to explain how the Prep Team works, and if it would be a good fit for you.
Last Sunday was our first Sunday Morning to host attendees in the City Life Building! The experience was fantastic, and I so proud of our staff, board, elders, and volunteers for participating and getting trained and equipped for our “gentle reopening.”
And did I mention the powerful atmosphere of the Holy Spirit? It was amazing. There’s something about the potency of God’s people coming together in a spirit of unity, for worship, prayer, and the Word. There’s literally an explosion of Presence. It’s left me hungry for more. I don’t think our church will ever be the same.
Still, our plan to reopen the City Life Building for Sunday Services remains very slow and measured. I know a lot of you are begging to attend, but we are taking the month of May to train volunteers on our new policies and Executive Orders from the Governor and Mayor.
Our goal is to find the intersection of safety, proactivity, and flexibility for our City Life gatherings.
Also, it’s really important to state that this is not a political issue for us, but an issue of the stewardship of God’s Work, God’s Word and God’s People. All three elements are critical to us! We are not merely focused upon minimal compliance, but considering what is in the best interest of our church family in this extremely dynamic atmosphere.
Finally, yet again, may God’s strong arms help you!
His mighty arms are your Refuge!
You are Jeshurun! You are honored of God.
You are one who stands tall with blessing.
Run to God’s everlasting arms!
His mighty arms will drive out and destroy your enemies.
His strong arms will bring you safety and security.
His outstretched arms will provide you with grain, new wine, and dew from the heavens.
You are Jeshurun!
You are honored of God.
You are one who stands tall with blessing.
Keep running to God’s everlasting arms!
In His strong arms, you are Blessed! He is your shield and helper. He is your glorious sword.
His strong arms cause your enemies to cower and cause you to tread on your enemy’s heights.
You are honored of God!
You are one who stands tall with blessing!
Run daily to His everlasting arms!
I hope to see you soon,
Pastor Tim
