Who Really Believes in Miracles These Days?

City Life Church Update from Pastor Tim

A Message from Pastor Tim:

Tim Downtown FtW

I believe in miracles.

In fact, I can’t help but believe.

Here’s what the Bible says:

He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. (Job 5:9)

Belief in a present, active, all-powerful, supernatural God is the foundation of this statement. Therefore, I can repeat the words of the ancient songwriter with confidence and surety: “You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.” (Psalm 77:14)

Do you believe in miracles?

Do you believe miracles happen around you all the time?

Do you believe miracles can and do occur in your life?

Why do miracles sometimes NOT happen when we pray for them?

If Jesus turned water to wine, calmed a storm, made a blind man see, a crippled man walk again, then why do we sometimes lack the faith to believe that God can calm the storms in our own lives?

These are all important questions that I am addressing during this series.

My online notes from this past Sunday are available through this link: Miracles: Calming the Storm

I encourage you to join me this Sunday as I continue this series. I believe the message I’ll be sharing will help you understand how faith works and challenge you to integrate miracle faith into your everyday life.

God bless, and I hope to see you in church.
