Life’s realities can lash out and assault us with a vengeance.
Sometimes we feel our progress is one step forward, two steps backward, three to the left and one more step backward. It’s an awkward, frustrating dance at best.
Keep in mind, though, what we are FEELING is not always reality. Look back at the paragraph above. It starts with the words, “sometimes we FEEL.”
Reality is, if we keep doing the right things and making the correct choices, it compounds in a positive way whether we “feel” it or not. Don’t let your emotions or disappointments define you.
Look what Paul said…
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (Colossians 3:23-24)
So, keep on! Keep keeping on! Work with all your heart.
Why?
Because you have something phenomenal right around the corner. It’s a reward. It’s an inheritance. It’s God’s BEST for you.
The best REALLY IS yet to come!
So, smile and enjoy the journey, even if you’re walking through the desert. You’re not “done in”. The best is yet to come.
