Years ago in the most unchurched neighborhood in the county, a connect group began with a handful of unlikely people. There were no lights, no big personalities, no colorful packaging, zero cool. It was simply a group of people who believed an encounter with Jesus could transform anyone.
As time went on, the little connect group turned into a weekly service. Word got out and one service grew into two, each week people began getting saved, saved people started serving, seeing other hurting people encounter Jesus.
Today, all you have to do is walk into a Service or Connect Group and get a sense that something is unusual, something significant is happening. It’s not business as usual in Downtown Fort Worth.
